How to Make Creamed Crab Meat Soup

Ingredients:

1 lb. fresh lump crabmeat

8 cups chicken stock

1/4 cup flour

3 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup diced onion

1/4 cup diced celery

1/4 cup diced red pepper flakes make it less spicy if you want)

1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)

There are few things in life as comforting as a piping hot bowl of crabmeat soup on a chilly day. This recipe is simple and delicious, and will have you dreaming of summers by the sea.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. butter

1 onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup celery, diced

1/4 cup carrots, diced

8 cups chicken stock or broth

1 lb. crabmeat (lump or shredded)

1/2 cup parsley, chopped

salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:    In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, celery, and carrots and sauté until tender. Pour in the chicken stock or broth and bring to a boil. Add the crabmeat and parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with some crusty bread for dipping. Enjoy!  

Creamy Crab and Potato Soup

Ingredients:

1 lb. lump crabmeat, picked over

1 Tbsp. unsalted butter

1/2 cup diced onion 7 cups low-sodium chicken broth 1 1/2 lb. Yukon Gold potatoes, diced into 1/2-inch pieces 3/4 cup half and half Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley leaves Instructions:

1) In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, melt butter. Add onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. 2) Add chicken broth and potatoes and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender. 3) Stir in crabmeat and half and half. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley, if desired.

Easy Cream of Crab Soup Recipe

Ingredients: 1 quart vegetable broth 1 can cream of crab soup 1 can milk 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon onion powder 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream 6 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese Instructions: In a large saucepan, bring the broth to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, and stir in the soup, milk, Old Bay seasoning, thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for 10 minutes, or until heated through. Stir in the sour cream and Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

Maryland-Style Creamed Crab Soup

Ingredients:

1 gallon crayfish stock 1 pint heavy cream 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 2 cups Maryland jumbo lump crabmeat, picked over for shells and cartilage kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 1 lemon, juiced 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves Directions:

1) In a large pot, bring the crayfish stock to a boil. 2) Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the heavy cream. 3) In a small bowl, whisk together the butter and flour until smooth. Add to the soup and simmer until thickened, about 10 minutes. 4) Add the crabmeat, lemon juice, and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
